I took the plunge this past week and bought a 15″ MacBook Pro. This was mostly due to the increasing amount of video and photography I’ve been doing lately and needed a bit more (okay a lot more) horsepower under the hood. One thing that I’ve always wondered about, is that card slot in the…
Today was a travel day for getting to Austin, Texas for SXSW Interactive. Of course, this meant that I brought a bunch of camera gear with me onto the plane…including this handy little suction cup gorilla pod mount for my Zi6 HD camera that you can see on the right. I also added the fisheye…
My recent trip to Whistler was filled with good times including getting to be on hand for the 2010 FIBT World Cup bobsleigh and skeleton events at the Whistler Sliding Centre. I never had a chance to visit the Sliding Centre during the Olympics (I couldn’t be everywhere at once!) so it was especially cool…

Unfortunately, as of this writing, we still don’t know when the new model will be…

Hmmm.. I have the Nikon 50mm 1.8… what’s the advantage of getting a 35mm 1.8?
Thanks John!
It’s just a wider prime…I’m finding I prefer to use faster primes than much slower zooms lately (can’t even remember the last time I put a zoom on my camera). At it’s price point, it’s cheap enough to have one in my bag.
I also have a 50mm f1/4 lens which is my second favorite lens after my fisheye.
