Picked up my media credentials today
I’m definitely starting to feel excited about this event despite the seriousness of my face in the media badge. It’s really starting to feel real now.

I went downtown today for an impromptu photowalk with some friends and we toured some of the Olympic venues. It’s amazing to see the transformation the city is going through right now…including the incredible amount of sponsorship advertising on display like the Samsung ‘billboard’ above.
Over the holidays, I got to check out a friend’s Go Pro HD which really blew me away since you can put it just about anywhere thanks to its numerous mount options, waterproof housing and wicked wide angle lens. Unfortunately it’s about $300 and I just can’t justify that right now but I still wanted…
I stumbled across this sticker and figured it was the perfect addition to my car (along with my FSM badge): It makes me smile everytime I see it…and judging from the smiles on people following behind me (and pointing), it was a good investment. Now if only I could get my car to make the…
On the weekend after shooting the 12×12 timelapse video, I was talking with Angela who also owns the Nikon P6000. She wanted to know how I shot the timelapse. I figured it would make a good blog post so here you go…keep in mind this is how I do it and there are many other…

It’s intended to give attendees a little insight into the session we’ll be having on Friday, March 12, 2010. You can read my original submission (from…
As recently as last week, I still hadn’t made a decision on what I was going to do during the Winter Games. Originally I was thinking of going out of town to simply avoid the traffic snarls the games will surely bring (I work in North Vancouver) but those plans were dashed because my wife…
Today, Duane helped get the ball rolling with the announcement that WordCamp Vancouver 2010 planning had begun with June 12th, 2010 the current tentative date. I’ve attended a lot of WordCamps over the years…in a lot of different places. I’ve even had the honour to speak at a few of them too. This time around,…
Inspired by my pals Duane and Kris‘ recent photographic efforts online, I decided to rebuild my photography section on this site which previously was just a plugin that pulled in my Flickr stream. I’ve decided to make it a daily photo kind of site. Using a new theme (Duotone) which changes the screen colours based…
