DIY Ikea Rast Eurorack Stand

I’ve wanted to build a DIY Eurorack Stand for a while now and there are lots of examples of people using the super cheap Rast night stand from Ikea.

The only problem for me was the fact that it needed either custom cut rails, or you could use 84hp rails and some rack mounts. I had a set of rails but no rack mounts nor any brackets for the mounts. So I designed an all in one solution that probably saved me about $40-50 in parts.

I started with this 3U Eurorack Rail Mount by PoniesWhee and basically added a mounting block.

Print two of these, buy an Ikea Rast night stand and add some Vector/Synthrotek rails to make a cheap Eurorack rack/stand. This part replaces the need for end mounts and 3U rack rails. Simply bolt in your rails to the outer screw holes and then use #8 3/4″ wood screws to mount to the Rast. Should be a snug friction fit – at least it was with my rails

You can get the STL file on Thingiverse or edit it on TinkerCAD.

Enjoy!
