Lions Gate Bridge Photowalk
As part of the ongoing “No Compacts Allowed” photowalk group on Facebook, this past Sunday was our latest walk which took us across and back over the Lions Gate Bridge. We hung around for the sunset and then some long exposure shots of the bridge from an overpass.
This family waved at us the whole time they approached the bridge…I thought it was kind of a neat view of them zooming across the water too:
This was my favourite long exposure shot from the night too…handheld fisheye – yes, I have the hands of a surgeon:
Despite the title, we welcome anyone on our walks…you don’t have to have a DSLR to come out. Join our Facebook group and get notified of the next outing. We’re trying to do two a month…one at night and one during the day, usually on Sundays.
For a little extra fun, I put the heart shaped aperture disc into my Lensbaby Composer and shot this very brief clip of the bridge:
Great people, fresh air, sunshine, four hours of walking around in the great autumn weather…pretty great way to end the weekend. You can see the rest of my shots from the walk on Flickr.
That handheld fisheye is impressive! I also like the perspective it makes too! Makes it look longer than it really is!
And by handheld, I meant resting on the ledge, holding the camera still :)
Great photos John! I really should come out to one of these soon, but I’m pretty shy :(
Amazing photos John
