New Photography project
I had recently decided that one easy thing I could do that will help me develop further as a photographer is simply to take more photos. This was further solidified after hearing about the origins of the 365 photo project during Alan Levine’s great presentation at Northern Voice.
This sounds easier than it is…especially with a busy schedule. So one thing about my ‘project’ is to not care what kind of camera I take the photos with. This is something I don’t have a problem with as I think it’s not about the gear, it’s about what you do with it. I also don’t have a theme for my daily photos, although this may change if I get inspired. There is no timeline for this experiment…it will run for as long as I have a camera to use.
The bottom line is that I’m going to endeavor to post (to Flickr) at least one photo every day no matter what as a means of discipline to force me to take better photos and to experiment more.
Dude – you missed a couple of days there. ;)
Yeah I did…hence the ‘proclamation’ of trying to post every day.
The days I missed though were shoot days (and incredibly productive days like the Burlesque shoot on the 7th which yielded over 1500 shots)…but Flickr only counts the days you actually uploaded.
Not if you change your calendar from ‘date uploaded’ to ‘date taken’ – do that and you’re golden!
Kevin: I actually faired worse that way ;) 2 days vs 3 days missing.
