See my post from last year’s inaugural MobileCamp. I’ll be back this year and it looks like Roland and I will do something iPhone related which is to be determined at this point. Drop a comment if there is something you’d like to see.
MobileCampVancouverĀ will take place atĀ WorkSpaceĀ on Saturday September 6th. Signup using the form linked on the wiki site or go here. Hope to see you there!

looking forward to dis-coordinating the iPhone portion with you and hopefully others!
Hard to tell so I’ll just ask: would I benefit from the discussions if I don’t have an iPhone or a Blackberry? I’m interesting in mobile social networking and expanding websites onto phones/pdas.
Roland: link updated…thanks!
Marina: that’s a tough one…my experience was that last years discussions were pretty technical but not necessarily hardware focused – many people there were talking about developing websites/apps for the iPhone and yet there were very few iPhones there. I think you’ll have to decide if the topics outlined beforehand (on the wiki) are enough value to get you out and if not, hope that there will be additional sessions/discussions related to your topic on the day of the event but not necessarily pre-arranged ones.
Since it is a ‘camp’ you could certainly ask for a discussion around mobile social networking and deploying websites for phones/pdas – it’s certainly the right group of people to give you some answers.
I feel SO bad about missing it :(
Cool. Thanks for the info John. I’ll keep checking the wiki for updates and if I’m feeling brave – I may come out just to see what I can pick-up! :)
