Today was a travel day for getting to Austin, Texas for SXSW Interactive. Of course, this meant that I brought a bunch of camera gear with me onto the plane…including this handy little suction cup gorilla pod mount for my Zi6 HD camera that you can see on the right. I also added the fisheye…
Gearlive.com as posted a video of the features of the upcoming firmware for the iPhone. Seems pretty legit to me and consistent with the rumored features. Some of the key features include: SMS to multiple recipients Google Maps upgraded to include hybrid view and cell tower triangulation to give you a sort-of GPS as well…
After finally acquiring a shiny new iPhone 3GS, I started playing around with the new camera and video features. Rather than talk about it, I thought showing the video on a number of different online services would better illustrate it. So this is handheld iPhone 3GS landscape video shot while driving over the newly opened…
Surprisingly great explanation of the 3d printing (and scanning) technology that Jay Leno uses to fix cars in his collection…from 2009! The technology in the video has gotten better and way cheaper now but the concepts are the same. via MAKE
One of the cooler benefits the Olympic Games brings to the host city is all kinds of side events. The Cultural Olympiad is one of them and tonight was the preview for the Cultural Olympiad Digital Edition (CODE). Located at a number of locations around Vancouver, this post will cover some of the current installations…
Apparently, they can…and there are lots of them! Over 235 zombies invaded the Roundhouse this past Saturday for Thrill the World Vancouver, part of a global event to simultaneously perform the Michael Jackson classic to break a world record, as well as raise money for the the Vancouver Food Bank. I managed to get a…

Thanks for posting this video, John!
I am really enjoying the whole series from Lee and Sachi. I’m thinking of joining Twitter. Rebecca (aka Miss604) showed me how it works at tonight’s Vancouver Podcaster Meetup (we missed you there!)… see you next Sunday at bowling!
I’ve moved my blog, not sure if you knew but just figured I’d let you know (now it’s at http://hummingbird604.wordpress.com). Very happy about the move to WP!
