Fan Expo Vancouver 2013

Day one of Fan Expo Vancouver was crazy. Tons of great costumes and celebrities invaded the Vancouver Convention Centre. Highlights included Michael Rooker (Merle from the Walking Dead), Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Stan Lee’s awesome Q&A (he got a standing ovation when he came out), David Prowse (Darth Vader) and my personal favorite, Elvira. I was taking a pretty close up photo of Star Trek’s Uhura, Nichelle Nichols and she kind of punked me…as I was framing the shot, she said under her breath “Get that camera out of my face!” and I pulled back from the viewfinder and she just smiled at me and said she was kidding.

Apple to give Canadians credit for older iPods

The Montreal Gazette is reporting that as part of a class action lawsuit regarding poor battery performance, Apple will be giving Canadian owners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation iPods a $45 credit to the Apple Store.
