Tech Tuesday: Lytro Reinvents The Camera, Again & Task One iPhone case

This week on News 1130 radio in Vancouver I talked about these items:

  • Lytro Reinvents The Camera Once Again: The Lytro Light Field Camera is a unique camera that captures photos and lets you change the focus within the frame, recently updated their software to add two new stunning features – perspective shift and living filters. Perspective Shift allows you to click and drag around the frame giving you a shifted perspective similar to a 3d effect (try it on the image above) and living filters which take instagram effects to a whole new level with color and distortion effects that the viewer can manipulate themselves when looking at the image.
  • Task One: this $75 case for the iPhone 4/4S/5 adds 16 different physical tools to your smartphone and literally turns it into a Swiss Army knife. Built out of aircraft aluminum and hardened steel, the tools included are everything you’d expect to find in a Swiss Army Knife including a knife, a sawblade, multiple screwdrivers, needle nose pliers and more.
