Add a fisheye lens to your iPhone

This just arrived in the mail from Hong Kong (via usbfever.com):

iPhone Fisheye Adaptor

You can either just hold it up to your cameraphone’s camera or use the included metal rings (with tape) to attach it magnetically to your phone:

Here’s a shot taken with the iPhone normally:

Here’s the wide angle lens attachment:

and the fisheye lens attachment:

which was a little misaligned when I took the photo :(

Pretty cheap cameraphone fun.

Update: corrected the link to the proper Wide Angle lens I ordered.

Where can you buy these kind of cool ‘fish eye lenses’ and what do they cost? would like to experiment with them too :-)

  3. JohnNo Gravatar Says:

The links to buy them are in the above post…at least the ones I bought. There are probably other ones on eBay and other places.

Will this also work with the Zx1 or are the lenses different sizes? Thanks!

  5. JohnNo Gravatar Says:

Bryan: The lenses will work the same as on the iPhone or Zi6 – you just need to attach the ring which fits them all.

I learned about this product through your demonstration video on Vimeo. Thanks for the recommendation; I’ve placed an order for the lens and bide my time as it ships from HK. I hoping that it will work on my Axis M1011 (after exposing a mounting base by opening the case) in a doorphone/security camera application.

is there a difference between the fisheye and the wide angle lens?

  8. JohnNo Gravatar Says:

I would say the photos in the post show the difference…the fisheye is super wide.
