Newspapers, magazines and radio…oh my!
Thanks to Warren, who interviewed me recently for my thoughts on the upcoming iPhone App Store and what it will mean for people currently enjoying Installer on their iPhones. I think it just hit newstands today, so check out page 15 of the August issue. I guess I’m officially an iPhone expert because it’s in print!

Today I was also interviewed on local radio station 95 Crave by Buzz Bishop for a piece on the data plan rate changes that Rogers announced today.

Buzz also interviewed me for an epic iPhone piece for 24hr magazine (a daily paper here in Vancouver) but it got edited down to half the size. He posted the full article on his site though.
My media tour continues this Friday bright and early when you might hear me on Crave while in line to get my shiny new iPhone and then later in the morning on CKNW’s Bill Good show talking about (wait for it) the iPhone and if it’s a game changer.
All in all, an exciting couple of days!
Will you be at the “buying party” and do you know where it moved to since the Apple store at Pac Centre is no longer an option?
Not sure yet….my plan is to get the iPhone in the morning then head to CKNW’s studio for the radio show for 11am….if I’m still in a lineup or en route to downtown, then I’ll be ‘phoning it in’. I think Parveen is scoping out alternate locations for the ‘party’ and perhaps we’ll end up at the Apple store to buy new cases…
Given that my retail sources have said they’re getting around 20 iPhones per store, there won’t be too much of a lineup, I’m pretty sure. If you’re not one of the first 20 people, game over.
That’s the trick – knowing where people won’t be lining up for them. Avoiding the flagship stores is rule number one….although those stores will have more than 20 units.
Well I’ve picked out my local store, here’s hoping no one else notices it. Hole-in-the-wall stores ftw.
