Well i recently did the 1.1.1 > 1.1.3 update. and it went off without a hitch.. there are many things you have to do to achieve this though and alot of other sites seem to leave out steps. but here is a list of common problems that are easily addressed.

1) first you have to (in my case) upgrade to 1.1.2 first and UNLOCK/ACTIVATE etc there first. but you have to remember to install OkToPrep in 1.1.1 before you go through with the update. VERY IMPORTANT.

2) after your all setup in 1.1.2 (Activated,Jailbroken, Unlocked with AnySim 1.2.1u/or Turbo/Stealth Sim in some cases) you can goto Installer and install the Official 1.1.3 Update. it takes about 30 minutes and hangs a few times but just leave it!! it goes through eventually. That Official update Jailbreaks the 1.1.3 version for you and activates. and if you successfully UNLOCKED via Anysim 1.2.1u in 1.1.2 (or had Stealth/Turbo Sim installed) then it will remain unlocked in 1.1.3.

Now you have a OTB 1.1.2. my roommate has that version and im working on the process for him.. i know it will involve downgrading back, im just not sure how far (1.0.2??) then going through the steps back up through the versions until hes at 1.1.3.

Im sure if you do a few google searches you will find the answer your looking for.. take a look at Nates site: http://cre.ations.net/blog/post/the-113-soft-upgrade-jailbreak-faq

and also take a look here: http://iphone.unlock.no/ which is a great site for unlocking.

I might give this a pass for now...seems to be unclear whether or not an AnySIM soft unlocked phone will still be unlocked after getting to 1.1.3.

That and after talking about it with numerous people last night, there is little real benefit to upgrading at the moment.

That sucks Paul....so you're sitting on the usb cable logo screen for connecting to iTunes....have you done a hard reset (of course you have)...

Sounds like you just need to activate the phone...which I thought was part of the process.

Well, I tried Nate's update last night on my 1.1.2 JB OTB SteathSIM working iPhone. Here's the post I just left on hackint0sh.org:

Hi all,

Long time reader, 1st time poster. Here's the scoop:

I "had" a working 1.1.2 OTB jailbroke StealthSIM working iPhone. Decided to try Nate's Mac 1.1.3 jailbreak last night:

http://cre.ations.net/blog/post/ipho...break-released

After the update went off without a hitch, however I can't get back to the home screen. It's stuck in restore mode with the connect to iTunes logo. iTunes says it has 1.1.3 installed "Your software is up to date", with a Restore button at the bottom.

Problem is: When I option click (Mac) the Restore button and point it to the 1.1.1 firmware, it goes through the whole process only to end up with a error (1604). When I reboot the phone it still comes up in iTunes as 1.1.3

I can't downgrade the iPhone, and I'm DAMN SURE I didn't update the firmware in iTunes last night.

WTF?
